Yoga Journey

So I started practicing Yoga about two months ago, I have "done" yoga before with a dvd but always got board and stopped.  So anyway, they started offering it two days a week at my work..and I decided to check it out..if only for the nap you get to take at the end. (Savasana) I love to nap :-)  Surprise I LOVE it..the few moments of peace you feel at the end are worth all the physical work done during class...

A few things I have learned in this early part of my journey

1. "Doing" yoga is very different from "practicing" yoga, you never master yoga...your whole life you only practice.  Love that..no pressure, no test at the end.

2. I am allot stronger then I thought...the progress seems slow..but there is progress

3. Yoga is the balance between your mind and your body, if you think about only your practice while you are in your practice you have a much better experience.

Favorite Yoga quote of the week...

"It's not the asanas that will change your life. It's the courage you bring to your practice that will change your life."
Most humbling yoga experience....
Falling on my face (literally, rug burn to prove it) while trying "crow".  But I tried it..and I almost got it.  :-)
